 What’s New for the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

For Fort Mitchell sedan shoppers who crave superior performance and luxurious features from their next vehicle, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the model that requires your full attention. While the C-Class has been delighting drivers and passengers for several decades, it breaks new ground in 2022 with the introduction of its next generation. Mercedes-Benz has boldly redesigned the C-Class with beautiful updates to the interior and exterior style, a revamped powertrain, and the introduction of a few features. The updates begin on the exterior with the 2022 C-Class’s LED-accented headlights and its aerodynamic, low-profile façade. The look is further defined by a confident, starburst-mesh grille and elegant contouring through the sides.

The C-Class continues to have the same four-cylinder turbo, 2.0-liter gas engine that generates 255 horsepower. However, it now has a mild-hybrid feature that delivers a 20-horsepower boost for improved acceleration capabilities. The engine continues to be available with a nine-speed automatic transmission and either rear-wheel or 4MATIC® all-wheel drive.

The cabin interior has also been enhanced with a modernized look and a few new features. The MBUX infotainment system, for example, has been fine-tuned for faster operation. It also has different driver profiles for the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto technologies. A fingerprint scanner is introduced for secure access to the MBUX features. Damage detection is added to other assistive safety technologies like forward collision mitigation and blind-spot monitoring.

While the updates to the 2022 C-Class have been extensive, Mercedes-Benz has not changed many aspects of the model that you may have appreciated from the 2021 version. For example, the entry-level trim is equipped with a keyless engine starter, ambient lighting, heated front seats, voice commands, and more. If you opt for the higher trim level, the C-Class continues to offer a surround-view camera, a Burmester premium sound system, a wireless charging station, and other gear.
