What’s New for the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC Lineup?

The 2018 lineup for the Mercedes-Benz GLC class consists of the GLC 300 SUV, the GLC 300 4MATIC® SUV, the AMG® GLC 43 SUV, the GLC 300 4MATIC® Coupe, and the AMG® GLC 43 Coupe. Also, model year 2018 introduces three AMG® GLC 63 models: the GLC 63 SUV, GLC 63 Coupe and GLC 63 S Coupe.

Standard equipment changes to all 2018 GLC 300 models are extra lighting in storage compartments and extra door lamps.
The GLC 300 SUV and the GLC 300 4MATIC® SUV get several upgrades for 2018, including optional chrome trim for the lift gate and the combination of 2017’s Exterior and Interior Sport Packages into a unified AMG® Line option. This includes 19-inch AMG® twin-five-spoke alloy wheels replacing the standard 18-inch alloy wheels, a darkened grille background and front-vent strakes, and front brakes with perforated discs and Mercedes-Benz-lettered calipers. The AMG® Line option also includes interior upgrades such as a black headliner, AMG® floor mats, a flat-bottom steering wheel and brushed aluminum pedals with rubber studs.
The GLC 300 Coupe gets its own AMG® Line option for 2018. It starts with the GLC 300 SUV’s AMG® Line style kit, but also includes a chrome diamond grille background and stainless-steel pedals.

The GLC 43 models get sharper-edged front fascia, larger standard wheels (20-inch AMG® style) and a single-horizontal-bar grille. The cabins feature your choice of wood-only or wood-and-aluminum trim for the doors and the center console. The standard seats get microfiber inserts to complement the MBTex faux leather upholstery.

The engines in the GLC 63 models are more powerful than those in the GLC 43’s. These models also feature model-specific wheel arches and side-sill panels, the Pan Americana grille, lower and wider quad exhaust outlets, larger lower air intakes, and special finishes. Their interiors have unique seat upholstery and aluminum trim. The seats in the GLC 63 S Coupe have unique stitching, and you’ll also find a red-highlighted AMG® instrument cluster, and leather/microfiber materials covering the seats and the AMG® Performance steering wheel.
